Over the last three years, we’ve witnessed something remarkable. What started in San Francisco as a grassroots experiment has quickly become one of the fastest-growing climate weeks in the world: 25,000+ participants and 1,000+ organizations took part in SF Climate Week this past Spring, now only in its third year.

As we’ve scaled, one truth has become clear: the real magic of Climate Week doesn’t come from one team or one city. It comes from the incredible network of organizations, community leaders, and individuals who convene, share, and advance solutions together.

Behind every successful Climate Week lies a huge amount of invisible infrastructure — the promotion, systems, tools, partnerships, sponsor relations, resources and know-how that make these monumental gatherings possible. For years, we’ve been building that scaffolding with a lean team and generous partners. And now, we’re ready to share it more broadly.

Today, we are proud to announce the launch of the Climate Week Network.

What is the Climate Week Network?

  • We share resources, tools, and best practices so new Climate Weeks don’t need to start from scratch.

  • We provide community, mentorship, and collaboration between established and emerging Climate Weeks.

  • We amplify each other’s work through shared promotion, networks, and visibility.

Just as we often say at SF Climate Week: a rising tide lifts all boats. The more people we engage locally, the more momentum we all create globally.

Why does this matter?

We’re living through a decisive moment. Global summits often fall short, but local communities can rise to the challenge. Climate Weeks are different: they are grassroots, accessible, and built for everyone to take part.

This week in New York, thousands of people came together for Climate Week NYC — proof of the inspiration these gatherings create. But we know the energy can’t stop there. In just three years, SF Climate Week grew to 1,000+ organizations and 25,000 participants — showing how powerful it can be when a city embraces this model. And now, with cities from San Diego to Denver to Mexico City stepping forward, we know this is only the beginning.

By growing the Climate Week Network, we’re making climate action more local, more inclusive, and more durable — everywhere.

In the next 12 months, we aim to help launch and grow dozens of Climate Weeks around the world—on the path to every major city.
