PNW Climate Week Wraps Another Successful Year
Congratulations to the PNW Climate Week team on a fantastic 2026 Climate Week! With more than 300 community-led events, this year's program brought together leaders from across the climate ecosystem for a week of conversations, collaboration, creativity, and action. From thought-provoking policy discussions to community gatherings and performances, the week highlighted the strength and diversity of the region's climate community. Congratulations to the organizers, volunteers, event hosts, speakers, and partners who made it all possible. Montréal Climate Week: Event Submissions Open!
The first ever Montréal Climate Week is taking place September 8–13, 2026, anchored in Tiohtià:ke/Montréal — bringing together people, communities, businesses, institutions, and governments to turn climate conversation into concrete action. With bold, multilingual, multidisciplinary programming, this first edition brings many voices together around one shared movement.
Submit your event by August 5th to be featured in the initial calendar launch — though event submissions are encouraged anytime after that too, as the calendar will keep growing throughout the week. 👉 Submit an event!
📆 Upcoming Climate Weeks in 2026:
🇧🇷 São Paulo
August 3 - 7
São Paulo Climate Week hosts its third edition next week — a collaborative movement bringing together governments, businesses, academia, civil society, and entrepreneurs to turn climate commitments into concrete, local action. This year's edition spans 200+ organizations and 20+ Official Hubs across the city, with 200+ public events and activities. A few open events worth checking out:
Energy Transition: Pathways to a Low-Carbon Economy — a morning of panels on the energy transition, with speakers from Vale, CETESB, and Amcham Brasil.
3rd Sustainability on the Field Forum — a full day (8am–10pm) on sport and sustainability, held at the Football Museum, covering everything from governance to the 2027 Women's World Cup.
2030 Sustainable Development Goals Game — an interactive workshop for youth ages 12–20, built around the UN's global sustainability goals.

🇩🇰 Copenhagen
Sept. 7–13
Copenhagen Climate Week joins the Climate Week Network this September, bringing together founders, policymakers, climate builders, community organizations, and residents across one of the world's leading sustainable cities.
Hosted across Copenhagen's ten districts, the week will feature more than 100 talks, tours, exhibitions, dinners, demonstrations, and community events showcasing how climate action can improve quality of life. By highlighting the city's approach to design, innovation, and collaboration, Copenhagen Climate Week will create opportunities for people across sectors to connect, learn, and help shape the next decade of climate leadership.
🇺🇸 Houston
Sept. 13–18
Houston Energy & Climate Week joins the Climate Week Network with a focus on one of the defining challenges of the energy transition: moving from conversation to implementation.
Located in one of the world's most influential energy capitals, Houston Energy & Climate Week will bring together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, researchers, community organizations, and workforce leaders to explore the technologies, partnerships, and policies shaping the future of energy. From carbon management and grid modernization to clean fuels, industrial transition, resilience, workforce development, and climate innovation, the week will spotlight practical solutions and the people working to turn climate ambition into action.
🇨🇿 Prague
Sept. 14–20
Climate Week Prague joins the Climate Week Network this September, bringing together leaders from business, policy, science, nature, and civil society through a dynamic program of conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and debates.
Built on the belief that climate progress takes partnerships, innovation, and shared responsibility across generations and sectors, the week transforms Prague into a hub for climate dialogue and collaboration — with ways for professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, students, and community leaders to host events, volunteer, and get involved.
🇺🇸 Missoula
Sept. 26–Oct. 4
Now in its fourth year, Missoula Climate Solutions Week joins the Climate Week Network with a growing coalition of partners from across Western Montana working to make climate action more connected, accessible, and community-driven.
Through resilience trainings, workshops, solar house parties, sustainable fashion shows, and other community events, the week brings together residents, local organizations, businesses, educators, and civic leaders to celebrate practical climate solutions and inspire meaningful action across every sector.
🇨🇴 Medellín
Sept. 28–Oct. 10
The first-ever Medellín Climate Week launches this September, bringing together climate leaders, innovators, communities, companies, and organizations from across Colombia, Latin America, and beyond.
Hosted in one of the world's most biodiverse countries, Medellín Climate Week builds on the city's reputation as a global leader in urban transformation, civic innovation, entrepreneurship, culture, and community resilience. The week will spotlight the people, projects, and ideas shaping a more sustainable future while creating new opportunities for connection, collaboration, and collective action across Latin America.
🇺🇸 San Diego
Oct. 1–8
San Diego Climate Week — the first climate week outside of San Francisco to join the Climate Week Network — returns for year two, building on the momentum of its inaugural year.
Set in a region shaped by coastal resilience, cross-border collaboration, environmental justice, innovation, and public policy, San Diego Climate Week will bring together policymakers, students, entrepreneurs, educators, companies, community members, and climate organizations from across the region.
🇪🇸 Barcelona
Oct. 13–20
The inaugural Barcelona Climate Week launches this October — a week-long, free and open event rooted in the city's vibrant neighborhoods.
Bringing together climate advocates, founders, coalition builders, community leaders, and researchers for workshops, panels, and networking meetups, Barcelona Climate Week is built for professionals, local business owners, organizers, and anyone who cares about the city's future.
🇩🇪 Munich
Oct. 19–25
Munich Climate Week will take place October 19–25, 2026, bringing the Climate Week model to one of Europe’s most important centers for industry, technology, research, and climate innovation. The week has already built strong momentum, with 65+ founding partners on board and a goal of 100+ events across Munich and surrounding areas.
🇳🇬 Lagos
Oct 26 – 30
The newest addition to the Climate Week Network, Lagos Climate Action Week brings a citywide climate convening to Africa's largest metropolis. The week will spotlight the city's growing climate finance, mobility, resilience, and clean technology ecosystem, positioning Lagos as a major climate innovation hub ahead of COP31.
🇹🇷 COP31 Climate Week – Antalya, Turkey
Nov. 9–20, 2026
COP31 Climate Week will feature a comprehensive and easy-to-use calendar of every event, panels, and other gatherings happening around COP31 — the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Turkey.
