Financial aid is available. The Fellowship offers need-based financial aid through a separate application — we've awarded over $1 million to date across our first nine cohorts. The aid pool each cohort is limited, though, so applying early is the best way to be considered.

Over twelve weeks, our Cohort 9 Fellows moved through nine in-depth curriculum modules, heard from 120+ climate leaders — scientists, policymakers, founders, and investors — and launched 119 capstone projects and startups. Best of all, they built a genuine global community: 75+ Fellow-led meetups and community events and thousands of one-on-one connections.

Who joins the Fellowship, and why?
Fellows come from all around the world and from every background and career stage — fairly evenly split from early-career to seasoned leaders.
And while many are breaking into climate, more than 1 in 4 are already working in the field when they join, bringing experience and connections that make the whole community stronger.
Most Fellows join with a variety of goals in mind — but here's the primary goal they name at the time they apply:
~49% — to land a new role (a career transition into climate, or into a new climate role)

📊 Just published: the 2026 Career Outcomes Report
For nearly five years, people have asked us the same question: does the Fellowship actually help people land climate jobs? We just answered it with data—across 2,318 Fellows from our first six cohorts—in our first-ever Fellowship Careers Outcomes Report.
One important point to underscore: the Fellowship is not just for job seekers. Only about half of Fellows join with the primary goal of landing a new role — the other 50% of Fellows join to build their network, work on startups and projects, deepen their climate knowledge, or learn from experts and leaders.
This report focuses on the Fellows who did set out to make a career move. We examined the outcomes of Fellows from our first six cohorts—far enough back to see what actually happened in their careers.

Lucy Wu was just selected as an Activate Fellow (Cohort 2026) for her startup PeraWatt Energy — redefining power efficiency by reinventing the magnetic building blocks at the core of advanced technologies.
Arnau Tibau joined the Fellowship to learn how he could contribute to climate — and ended up starting a company. His climate-AI startup TetraxAI raised €1.5M in funding.
Jennifer Loh's startup Loam closed a $1.54M pre-seed round, exceeding its target.
Stephan Luna Ng's startup Moon Five was awarded a $3.4M California Energy Commission grant to bring at-home EV charging to renters.
Bibek Pant's capstone, Nepal Climate Hub, is now a registered nonprofit with a team of nearly 30 volunteers across multiple countries: “Climatebase came along at the right time — I became the first Fellow based in Nepal — and my idea took shape. Two years later, it's grown into Nepal Climate Hub.”
Subathra Rajendran was selected for the SEA Change Accelerator for her smart solar-bench venture, Sortyx.
Sayedero Enitan launched a line of solar school bags made from upcycled cement bags.
