For nearly 5 years, people have asked us some version of the same question:
Does the Climatebase Fellowship actually help people land new jobs?
Today, we’re answering that question—with data.
Our 2026 Climatebase Fellowship Career Outcomes Report — the first one we’ve ever published—is now live.
One important point upfront: the Fellowship is not just for job seekers. Only about half of Fellows join with the primary goal of landing a new role. Others come to build their network, work on startups and projects, deepen their climate knowledge, or learn from experts and leaders.
This report focuses on the Fellows who did set out to make a career move. We examined the outcomes of Fellows from our first six cohorts—far enough back to see what actually happened in their careers.
Four numbers tell the short version:
📈 After graduating, Fellows are 2x more likely to work in climate / sustainability
🌍 1,110+ alumni from those first six cohorts are now in climate roles
🏢 They work at 250+ climate organizations
🤝 1 in 3 joined an org where a Fellow already worked
That last finding says a lot about how hiring in this space really works: personal connections matter.
