Evan here, co-founder of Climatebase.

I’m excited to announce that applications are now open for Cohort 10 of the Climatebase Fellowship — our flagship 12-week program and year-round community recognized by Forbes as one of the top professional development programs in energy and climate.

The fellowship is designed to support a wide range of goals — landing a role, building a network, launching a venture — and the community keeps delivering long after the twelve weeks are up.

We also just wrapped Cohort 9, and we're already seeing many exciting outcomes and success stories from our recent graduates — scroll down to see a few we're highlighting below.

Cohort 10 admissions are rolling, spots are limited, and we run only two cohorts a year — so apply early. The priority application deadline is July 6.

This email covers:

  • Testimonials and recap from Cohort 9

  • Fellowship overview: Who joins and why? – Plus curriculum, guest speakers, capstone projects & more

Dates & Deadlines:

Financial aid is available. The Fellowship offers need-based financial aid through a separate application — we've awarded over $1 million to date across our first nine cohorts. The aid pool each cohort is limited, though, so applying early is the best way to be considered.

A quick look back at Cohort 9

Before we look ahead, a quick look back at the cohort that just wrapped. Over twelve weeks, our Cohort 9 Fellows moved through nine in-depth curriculum modules, heard from 120+ climate leaders — scientists, policymakers, founders, and investors — and launched 119 capstone projects and startups. Best of all, they built a genuine global community: 75+ Fellow-led meetups and community events and thousands of one-on-one connections. Many are already turning all of that into real-world impact (you'll see a few of their stories below).

Here's what some of our Cohort 9 graduates had to say:

I'm not even exaggerating when I say it was life-changing. I applied early, and was welcomed by such a supportive and understanding community of people.”
Rob Ratcliffe, Cohort 9

“The Climatebase Fellowship has been above and beyond what I asked for — the quality of guest speakers, instructors, career coaches, and Fellows is elite-level. If you're passionate about climate, the Fellowship is your answer.”
Chiraag Bhawnani, Cohort 9

One of the most incredible community experiences I've ever been a part of. I feel like I found my people.”
Olivia Jákli, Cohort 9

“I spent 13 years analyzing energy markets and thought I understood the problem. I was humbled — Climatebase Fellows are genuinely extraordinary people.
Skarlleth Martinez Prado, Cohort 9

Even with a decade working on climate, I left with real hope for what's ahead — there are dedicated people all over the world committed to this.”
Sarah Abramowitz, Cohort 9

“I came in focused on decarbonization. I'm leaving with sharper fluency across energy, finance, and policy — and a network actually moving the needle... If you're considering applying, do it.”
Bilal Tahir, Cohort 9

About the Fellowship

Recognized by Forbes as one of the top professional development programs in energy and climate, the Climatebase Fellowship is designed to help ambitious, mission-driven professionals supercharge their impact in climate — whatever that looks like for them.

Each 12-week cohort combines expert-led climate curriculum, access to leading guest speakers and employers, hands-on capstone projects, career support sessions, and an engaged global community of 4,500+ alumni — with year-round access that extends well beyond the cohort.

Keep scrolling for recent Fellowship success stories — plus a full breakdown of everything the 12-week program includes.

Who joins the Fellowship, and why?

Fellows come from all around the world and from every background and career stage — fairly evenly split from early-career to seasoned leaders.

And while many are breaking into climate, more than 1 in 4 are already working in the field when they join, bringing experience and connections that make the whole community stronger.

Most Fellows join with a variety of goals in mind — but here's the primary goal they name at the time they apply:

  • ~49% — to land a new role (a career transition into climate, or into a new climate role)

  • ~21% — to build their network of peers, mentors, and collaborators

  • ~20% — to expand their knowledge of climate science, solutions, and sectors

  • ~10% — to work on a startup or project

Whatever the goal, the Fellowship is built to help Fellows reach it — and the wins below show what that looks like in practice.
